How does John Rogers PTA raise money?

Move-a-Thon
Get kids involved in supporting their school by walking and securing “sponsors” who donate money to the PTA. Last year we rose over $12,500 and the kids got exercise and had fun!

Direct Donation and Employee Matching
John Rogers PTA is a non-profit charity and accepts financial donations.  Your donation supports much needed programs at the school and is a great tax deduction for you.  Grandma, Grandpa and friends’ donations are welcome as well!

Box Tops & Labels for Education
The PTA collects Box Tops and Labels for Education, which are all turned back into the companies for cash/supplies for our school.  A collection site is located next to the saltwater tank. Clip, Recycle and Earn! Contact: Candice Holsapple musthavechocolate@hotmail.com

Book Fair and Used Book Sale
Scholastic Book Fair is back again! On Nov 17th-20th PTA will hold book sales with proceeds benefiting the school.  The Used Book Sale runs in Nov & again in the Spring. Not only do we make money for the school – we get books in kids’ (and adults’) hands and get everyone reading!

Cookie Dough Sale
Get ready Rogers’ bakers! Cougar Mountain cookie dough will be back this fall.  We will be asking the adults to sell the cookie dough and you will get some great cookies for your freezer!

Shop at Retailers that support schools
Many retailers, including Fred Meyer, Amazon (access Amazon Rewards directly through PTA website), Target, Office Depot, Bartell Drugs, & Safeway donate a percentage of your purchases to the school of your choice.  It’s easy…just tell them what school you are supporting.

Buy John Rogers Otter Apparel 
Purchase apparel with the John Rogers logo on it and a percentage of the sale goes to support our PTA. Contact: Allison VanDoren anvandoren@gmail.com

Drink Pouch, Elmer’s Glue Crew, Inkjet & Toner Brigade
At home, collect the above waste then, send the waste into school with your child and we will recycle it through TerraCycle for rewards for our school.  Collection sites are located by the saltwater tank and in the Cafeteria.

Annual Give!
Each spring the PTA holds its largest fundraising event – this year it’s the First Annual Give! Last year, our spring Event was the Auction where we rose over $70,000 in one night for our school.  If you are interested in chairing our auction in 2018, please contact the PTA.

Where does the money go?
The money raised by John Rogers PTA goes directly toward funding much needed school programs, buying supplies, teacher and staff training and community events and activities that otherwise would not be funded.  Specifically, PTA fundraising supports:
